In 1942 C.S. Lewis delivered a sermon to the Church of St Mary the Virgin, Oxford, that would become the famous The Weight of Glory. Within the sermon Lewis warns against the great cataract of nonsense that pours from the press and the microphone. In 1942 that cataract of nonsense was limited to what could be printed and broadcasted within a twenty-four hour period. In 2020 the nonsense is unlimited.
Firstly, the purpose of The Mind and Heart is to stand against that great cataract of nonsense that pours from the press and the microphone of our current age.
Secondly, Western Civilization is under a barrage of constant attack. It is my belief that Western Civilization is the accumulated work of the Church on the Culture and that it is through this work that we have received an understanding of inalienable rights. Acknowledgment of these rights are unique in the history of mankind and therefore the concepts of Western Civilization must be preserved. This is a place where Western Civilization shall be preserved vehemently. Ideas such as transgenderism, homosexual marriage, Cultural Marxism and moral relativism shall be confronted and opposed.
Lastly, there is an urgent need for Christians to stand against the genocidal activity of Abortion. I will do all within my power to confront this genocide and lend all my skills of persuasion, rhetoric, and words to bring an end to the lands greatest evil.
